- District Governor Bio:
- Bill Douthat has been a member of the Tulsa Metro Lions Club for 25 years, served as club president 3 times and has held all club offices at sometime during his Lions career. He is 100% Club President. He served as both Zone and Region Chairperson, and Cabinet Secretary and Treasurer. He is a Certified Guiding Lion. Lion Bill is an OLSF Louis Lackey Fellow and Bob McCullough Fellow, and a Melvin Jones Fellow. He received a Presidential Certificate of Appreciation in 2007. He has attended 6 International Conventions, 3 USA/Canada Leadership Forums, and a Senior Leadership Institute. He served on the Oklahoma Lions Eye Bank Board of Directors for 3 years and on the Dr. Eugene Briggs Memorial Scholarship Foundation Board of Directors for 2 years. Lion Bill is married to Lion Chris (for 45 years) and they have one son, Jim, who is also a Lion, and one grandson. In his spare time Lion Bill loves sports, especially baseball, hockey and playing golf.
